It all started with a drink.
Not just any drink, but a drink called Sherba Mate. A sweet and golden tea that manifests life's greatest joys and makes you feel warm and welcome and live in the now. This drink, traditionally consumed in South America, is a drink that brings people together. It's a drink that creates lifelong bonds. But what does Sherba mean, you ask? Sherba can be boiled down to one, important word: Community.
That's where the parallels come in. One day, Brad Gladstone and a coworker were discussing the property management industry. Guided by industry experience, the conversation focused on how traditional property management companies seem to be operating on the same misguided philosophies: Unjustified high fees, low transparency, poor communication, and unacceptable customer service. Further, most management companies focus on managing the intangible assets. Theres only one problem with this...
Where’s the sense of community?
At its very core, property management demands community management! Behind all the smoke and mirrors, property management is managing people and where they live. It manages the atmosphere and attitude of the environment that encompasses all the mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, children, nieces and nephews, you name it. The fiduciary duty of a Homeowners’ or Condominium’s Association Board is to make sure their community is happy, healthy, and thriving!
Let’s face it though, Board Members are busy people with regular jobs, unless you're an astronaut or shark tank cleaner. It’s tough to have a regular job and ensure that the value of the community you live in is being maintained to high standards.
That’s where we come in.
After Brad discussed the concept of a community-oriented Property Management company with good friend and experienced manager, Brian Boyd, Sherba Management was born.
We’re taking an experience every Homeowners’ and Condominiums’ Association must address, and redesigning it from the ground up to be simpler, smoother, efficient and focused on the community.
At Sherba, our mission is to make community management simple and easy, through maintaining property value and appearance, engaging the individuals within the neighborhood, all in a way that is natural and sustainable. Authentic, sustainable practices mean lower overall maintenance, a healthy environment, and happy residents.
Enjoy life and those around you.
